Leader of the Enlightened Christian Gathering Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary appeared before the Lilongwe Magistrate’s Court today.

Bushiri’s wife took to Facebook to share the developments. Prophetess Mary thanked supporters for the prayers and support. Below is what she posted on Facebook.

Some of their followers held placards outside the court gates, supporting the Prophet and his wife.

The couple is wanted in South Africa where they face charges in connection with money laundering, and fraud. They escaped South Africa for Malawi after being granted R200 000 bail each under strict conditions.
