Dj Maphorisa is one of Amapiano’s godfathers and it can not be denied that he played a big role into making the genre what it is today.
In a bid to make Amapiano reach more corners, Maphorisa asked popular House Dj Shimza, Heavy K and Black Coffee to play Amapiano music more on their sets when they do gigs.
Heavy K responded that he plays Amapiano but will not be increasing the number of times he does because he want to experiment with other sounds.
Shimza was the next DJ to turn Maphorisa down, he said they can’t all do the same thing because they have different goals and paths in their careers.
