Scorpion Kings is an Amapiano duo consisting of DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. They are part of the musicians who pioneered Amapiano music.
The duo is loved all over South Africa and beyond. However their fans do not not know how much their favourite artists are paid for an hour performance at a club.
The two are getting close to R1 million just for an hour performance.
It costs R200 000 to book them for an indoor performance and R300 000 for an outdoor performance.
They require 5 star accommodation that includes 2 hotel suits and 9 standard rooms. Transport fee is R28 000 which is R14 000 each.
In addition they need armed private security, visa payments for all their team members plus more. Dj Maphorisa defended the amount saying club owners were getting discounted fees.
