Emzini Wezinsizwa actor Vusi Thanda was on Twitter a few weeks ago asking for donations from the people of South Africa.
Atleast R100 000 was raised after he shared his banking details and revealed that he owed his landlord thousands of rands of unpaid rent.
The actor also revealed that he had been sick, forcing him to take a break from acting, including on Mzansi Magic telenovela The Queen where he had a role.
Many South Africans were left shocked to learn that the actor was homeless since he is a veteran in the entertainment industry.
A fund raising event will be hosted at Mall of Africa to raise funds for the purchase a house that will be given to Vusi Thanda.
This was revealed by the founder of the Kicks Sportswear brand Sammy Mhaule. The sneaker brand had collaborated with Makhadzi on Kokovha shoe brand.
