Black Management Forum President, Andile Nomlala, has been forced to take three months leave after a former intern (27) alleged that he raped her at his house in May 2021.

The intern has opened a police case at Sandton Police Station against Nomlala and has also lodged a claim of R5 million for unfair dismissal at the CCMA.

The Sowetan reports that Nomlala spent a day with the intern after a business function at the Four seasons hotel in Fourways.

The newspaper says Nomlala offered her a lift and the paid passed by the house of a BMF executive, where they stayed for four hours before Nomlala drove her to his house.

On arrival, she requested to use his shower and said she was shocked to see Nomlala lying naked in the main bedroom when she exited the bathroom.

The woman said as she was getting ready to sleep, Nomlala started lifting her dress and rubbing her thighs.

She said she immediately told him to stop and said she was scared.

The advances continued through the night and at some point Nomlala would chase her through the house.

The next day Nomlala drove her to her house.

The intern said she reported the matter 16 months later because she was scared of losing her job.

The BMFI acting Managing Director, Phillippe Bakohoukoutela told the newspaper that they condemn any form of gender based violence and committed to follow all due processes for the just and speedy resolution of the matter.
