Sunday Times reported that the battle for the Zulu throne has taken a new twist as King Goodwill Zwelithini’s daughter has asked for the police to investigate if her father’s signature was forged or not on his Will.

Princess Ntandoyenkosi is said to have filed the complaint in July. She said a handwriting expert had doubts on the signature on the Will that made Queen Mantfombi the regent of the Zulu nation.

Princess Ntandoyenkosi and her sister Ntombizosuthu had earlier applied to the Pietermaritzburg High Court to stop the coronation of Prince Misuzulu kaZwelithini as King.

They also wanted the court to suspend the execution of the Will. The King’s first wife Queen Sibongile Dlamini supported her daughters with matter at the High Court.

The Will named the late King’s 4th wife Queen Mantfombi Dlamini as the regent. Mantfombi was one of the King’s six wives and sister to King Mswati III.

Queen Mantfombi Dlamini died due to food poisoning on the 29th of April just six weeks after Zwelithini’s death. In her Will Queen Mantfombi Dlamini named her son, Prince Misuzulu as King of the Zulu nation.
