A Home Affairs official Ronney Marhule, suspected of awarding Prophet Shepherd Bushiri a permanent residence permit failed to involve the labour court in the disciplinary proceedings against him.

Marhule who is the chief director of permits was placed on suspension in February over allegations of misconduct related to gross dishonesty and non compliance with the Immigration Act.

There were irregularities in the approval of the application for a permanent residence permit for Bushiri and his family.

Marhule and three other officials are the facilitators who made it possible for Bushiri to get permanent residence permit thus according to the department. Investigations revealed that approval was done without proper paper compliance.
