Yesterday the Pietmaritzburg High Court heard an application by two Princesses from the Zulu Royal family to stop the coronation of Prince Misuzulu KaZwelithini as the Zulu King.

Late King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu’s daughters Princess Ntombizosuthu Zulu and Princess Ntandoyenkosi Zulu are arguing the authenticity of the late Zulu King Zwelithini’s Will aswell as that of the late Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu.

The two Princesses are daughters of Queen Sibongile who is the first wife of the late King Goodwill Zwelithini. They suspected fraud in the nomination of Queen Mantfombi Dlamini as regent.

They want the the late King’s Will to be suspended. They want the Premier of KwaZuluNatal to interdict and restraint from recognising any steps which may reasonably be seen as recognising Misuzulu as King of the Zulu nation.

They also want the President, Cyril Ramaphosa to be restrained from issuing a certificate of recognition to Prince Misuzulu as the new Zulu King.
