Sho Madjozi released ‘What a Life’ at the end of 2020, however her dominance continues to grow as she dominates in 2021 with a new video for ‘Shahumba’ featuring Thomas Chauke.
Shahumba tells a story of a young girl navigating life in her home town and the special relationship she has with her father who has influence in her when it comes to music.
Chauke who is a legendary Tsonga singer has contributed so much in the development of XiTsonga language thus it’s fitting for him to feature in Sho’s video who has made it her mission to always pay homage to her culture in her music as a Tsonga woman.
Sho revealed that she felt so blessed to be in the same studio and to work with Dr Thomas Chauke. The ‘John Cena’ hit maker said it is a dream come true for her to have Chauke on her music video.
She added that ‘Shahumba’ is about the journeys of her and Chauke as two musicians from rural Limpopo who have achieved their dreams despite the challenges.
Sho Madjozi has since become an inspiration and role model to many as she stays true to her roots while dominating the music industry at home and abroad.
