City Press reports that Norma Mngoma, the wife of former home affairs minister, Malusi Gigaba, told friends that the two did not sleep together for two years (2017 – 2019).
Norma told the friends that she privately asked Malusi for a divorce in 2019, citing the fact that the two were sleeping in seperate bedrooms.
The friends said at the time, Malusi refused to divorce, telling Norma that he would lose spousal privilege if they divorced before he testified at the state capture commission.
In 2019, Norma was angered when she found out that Malusi had filed for divorce from a journalist.
This followed an incident in which Norma damaged a luxury car that belonged to Malusi ‘s friend.
Norma has since changed her mind and will now soon testify at the Zondo commission about Malusi’s dealings with the Guptas.
