South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) radio station METRO FM and TV channel SABC 1 held a “Get 2gether Experience”, paying tribute to the legendary DJ Eddie Makhosonke Zondi who passed away on 16 June 2014.
The late-night show hosted by Msizi Shembe also featured guest co-hosts, the Jaziel Brothers, Monea, Donald, and Wilson B Nkosi.

Eddie was known for his Sunday afternoon show, The Romantic Repertoire, as well as his popular Sunday Soul Sessions.
He had also released two compilation albums in his career, which were equally successful.
Msizi Shembe played soul sessions which Eddie Zondi used to play and fans appreciated the get 2gether experience of remembering DJ Zondi.
