Early this year it was reported that a film was being created based on the late Kwaito star Mduduzi “Mandoza” Tshabalala who passed away in 2016.
Wiseman Mncube and Lorraine Moropa were cast as lead actors. Mandoza’s Biopic premiered on the 16th of August 2023 on BET Africa.
The late musician’s story “Nkalakatha: The Life of Mandoza”, will be a lesson to other artists on what is right or wrong, the dos and don’ts, the bad and the good in the entertainment industry after becoming famous.
Mandoza’s legacy and memory still leaves on, he produced hit songs which included Sgelekeqe, Tsotsi Yase Zola, Godoba, Ngalabase, Indoda and many more.
The songs topped the charts and his album “Nkalakatha” which was released in 2000 was the biggest selling album in Mandoza’s career.
