It’s a new dawn for the AmaZulu nation, President Cyril Ramaphosa has formally handed over the certificate of recognition to King Misuzulu KaZwelithini as leader of the Zulu nation.

Over 50 000 people gathered to witness the momentous occasion at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban.

Misuzulu KaZwelithini became the King following the passing of his father King Goodwill Zwelithini and mother Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu.

Former Presidents Thabo Mbeki and Jacob Zuma attended the ceremony. King Mswati III was also at the ceremony aswell as the Zulu Traditional Prime Minister Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
