Actress Letoya Makhene Scammed, by Fake Shauwn Mkhize’s Agent

Actress Letoya Makhene was scammed after getting a call from someone who pretended to be businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize’s agent, booking her to make an appearance at her party for R30 000.

The actress fell for it as she was provided with fake proof of payment and when she told them she had not received it, she was told it was bank difference.

She was told to send R8 000 for flights and she fell for it. When she called if they had received the money her phone had been blocked.

Makhene told the media that she fell for the scam because Shauwn Mkhize is always hosting parties and she wanted to go and support her. She later reported the matter to the police.
