Sunday world reports that popular musician, Makhadzi (Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona and her recording company, Open Mic, are being sued for R8, 2 million by sneaker brand, Kicks Kokovha.

The deal was signed amid pomp and fanfare in November 2021.

The limited shoes were launched on 9 December 2021 at the Mall of Africa.

According to court papers filed by Kicks Kokovha in the Pretoria High Court, Makhadzi failed to wear the sneaker brand’s shoes during her performances as set out in the agreement.

Kicks Kokovha argued that if Makhadzi had fulfilled their side or the deal, they would have sold the 6900 pairs of shoes in their Limpopo warehouse.

The company also wants Makhadzi and Open mic to buy the 6900 pairs from them at R300 a pair and sell them.

Kicks Kokovha was founded by businessman, Sammy Mhaule.
