Councillor Thembinkosi Mjuza has told the media that he received messages warning him that he was supposed to have been killed.
The warning messages were sent by a stranger via WhatsApp. Mjuza is the Ward Councillor of Gugulethu.
The warning messages instructed the Councillor to stay away from his office as he was going to be hijacked and kidnapped.
The sender refused to reveal his identity but he told Mjuza to watch his back and that he was lucky to be alive.

In addition, the man who sent the warning messages mentioned the involvement of politicians.
Meanwhile, Mjuza has opened a case at Gugulethu cop shop saying he was not taking the threats lightly.
