A man from Malamulele township has allegedly shot and killed seven people. It is believed the deceased are family members, including a pregnant woman and children.
The murderer handed himself over at the Thohoyandou police station. SAPS spokesperson Dan Mojapelo said the incident happened after midnight when a family member killed his relatives.
Mojapelo added that the motive behind the killing is not yet known therefore the investigations are still unfolding.
He went on to say the perpetrator drove 40kms from the accident scene and handed himself over to the police in Thohoyandou.
The SAPS spokesperson confirmed that three udults and four children were killed. One of the udults was a female who was pregnant.
He added that the perpetrator has been charged with four counts of murder. Mojapelo said the weapon used was not licensed thus there will be further investigations.
