Reality television star Shauwn Mkhize is one of the most successful and richest businesswomen in South Africa. Like everyone else she started as an employee before she established herself.
In an interview with Lootlove on Music special she revealed that she got tired of counting other people’s money therefore she thought of starting a business of her own.
Her mother Florence Mkhize was a politician thus Shauwn Mkhize benefits from contracts offered by eThekwini Municipality. MamMkhize however denied this saying she does not benefit from politics.
MamMkhize’s childhood dream was to become a lawyer but her mother persuaded her to be an accountant. She obtained a degree and worked as an accountant for years while she was married to Sbu Mpisane.
She quited her job as an accountant and ventured into construction. Her business quickly grew as she was awarded many tenders in real estate.
Currently Shauwn Mkhize owns a football club, Royal AM which she named after her son Andile Mpisane.
