Limpopo born artist Master KG is being accused of not producing his global hit song Jerusalema. The song broke records on YouTube a few months ago with millions of views.
Charmza the DJ and Lebogang Ledwaba are claiming to be the brains behind Jerusalema. The two artists also sent a letter of demand to Master KG and Open Mic Productions through their lawyers.
The letter states that Charmza was called by Master KG to his recording studio in Midrand to produce a track for Nomcebo Zikode.
It is alleged that Charmza authored, composed and produced the original musical composition of the song before Master KG and Open Mic Productions released the song Jerusalema.
In the letter the lawyers claimed that Charmza used a sample from a song by Lebogang Ledwaba. Now the two musicians want Master KG to credit them on the song.
They also want a public apology and part of their remunerations from the song. Open Mic Productions dismissed the allegations as false.
On the other hand Master KG and Nomcebo Zikode no longer go on tours together after Nomcebo revealed that she was not paid for the part she played on the song.
