Diep City actress Nozuko Ncayiyane revealed that she tried to commit suicide on two separate occasions. She said at first she drank tablets and on the second attempt she drank paraffin.
Nozuko Ncayiyane said she had lost her close friend and at one point she was in a toxic relationship which caused her depression and her family was not aware of it.
She revealed that the first time she tried to commit suicide she was just 16 years old. When she drank paraffin she was 17 years old.
The actress urged people suffering from depression to meditate. She said one should find out who they are and unlock their creativity and imagination.
The actress rose to fame after landing a role on SABC 1 show Skeem Saam. She also landed another role on e.tv’s Scandal. Now she is playing a leading role on Mzansi Magic telenovela DiepCity.
