Daily Sun reported that Thabang Mnisi who is the Chief Operating Officer of the Ingoma Awards used the event to propose to his girlfriend Dineo Mahabuke.
The marriage proposal came as a surprise as Thabang bended his knee to propose at the Awards held in Rispark, Johannesburg.
He told the publication that he wanted to bring together the two things he loved the most that is Dineo and the music industry. He said music occupies one half of his heart while the other half is occupied by Dineo.
Mnisi who proposed in front of his colleagues and guests revealed that the theme of the Awards was perfect for his proposal as he proposed to someone whom he will be beginning a new journey with.
The pair have been dating for less than two months. However they said they knew they were right for each other. Thabang said he could not wait for years to study her because he knew that he will marry her the first he saw Dineo.
The COO concluded by revealing that in November he will be paying lobola for the love of his life. As for the wedding he said the ceremony will be held in December 2021 or January 2022.
