Bulelwa Mkutukana who is famously known by her stage name Zahara has been arrested for tax evasion.
Zahara could be facing jail time due to her failure to comply with Courts regarding her tax payments.
On Friday Sunday World reported that a warrant of arrest had been issued by the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
This was after she failed to appear for not submitting her personal tax returns. National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane confirmed the news with the paper.
In June this year the NPA revealed that the Loliwe hitmaker was charged in her personal capacity as the company’s director of her company.
Back then Zahara was requested to hand over her passport at the Commercial Crimes Court and to report to the Rpodepoort Police station on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8am and 6pm.
