Maskandi musician Mthandeni Manqele has scored himself a reality show on SABC 1 together with Khuzani Mpungose. They will take viewers into their lives as they are forced to reckon with their past life actions and mend family ties.
The reality tv show will also showcase the artists’ personal lives and achievements. Manqele who spoke to SABC revealed that the show will be broadcast in Zulu language.
He said the show will showcase on how the Maskandi artists survive and deal with situations in the taxi industry. He said the show will help many people to understand Maskandi better.
Manqele added that the show will help the perspectives of how people view Maskandi. He revealed that many people believe that Maskandi is for rural uneducated men.
In addition to that, Mthandeni Manqele told SABC news that the reality show will showcase both sides, the negatives and the positives in his life.
He also mentioned that viewers will get to experience the lifestyles of those living in the rural areas.
