After buying Bloemfontein Celtic football club for R50 million businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize was reportedly failing to pay her players.

It was revealed that she was failing to maintain over 60 players and that the players were sharing sleeping rooms yet they were promised apartments.

She said 8 players did not receive their payment due to issues with their contracts which are being finalised. She said players sharing rooms were not forced to do so but its their choice.

She added that the club was not responsible for accommodation unless if the players are camping. She said the players are also liable for their families’ housing arrangements.
