Andile Gaelesiwe has penned her first book titled “Andile Gaelesiwe: Remembering”. The media personality is well known as the presenter of SABC 1 show Khumbul’ekhaya.

Gaelesiwe said the book is all about her life experiences with s_exual violence and how she managed to heal from the ordeal.

It also touches on her life, career, family, music and television. Andile revealed that she was approached by a publisher at the end of 2019 with an idea of a book.

Even though she turned down the offer at first she finally accepted as it was the final part of her healing.


Andile was r_aped by her relative when she was just 11 years old. She said the book helped her work on herself and to make peace with her past life.

She added that she has forgiven her perpetrator. Ayanda said she will release another book after this one because she realised that she has a lot of things to share which were left out in the first book.

Andile said the first book is not the entire story and people are going to get the full story on the second book.
