Former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs captain Jimmy Tau is off the singles market. The 39 year old is engaged to girlfriend Tsholofelo Mhlongo who is 26 years old with whom he has a baby with.
According to those close to them, these two began dating about 3 years ago amid opposition from Tsholofelo’s father who felt Tau was too old for his daughter.
Interestingly Tsholo’s father was one of Tau’s best friends when the soccer star started dating his daughter behind his back.
According to close friends the relationship caused a rift between them.
The family was initially not happy with the engagement as they felt betrayed by Tau whom they had treated as a son during his friendship with the family.
The family accepted the situation after Tau decided to marry Tsholofelo. The pair spent half of the festive season in their home town in the Northern Cape and also had their baby baptised.
