A Limpopo school principal, Livhalani Sinyosi, has been named as the winner of the 2020 African Union Continental Teacher Prize.
Livhalani Sinyosi, from Dzata Secondary School in the Vhembe West District, was recognised for demonstrating quality teaching and facilitating discipline amongst her students.
Sinyosi who has been in the education sector for 25 years was congratulated by provincial Education Spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene.
Speaking to SABC News, Sinyosi said that this achievement encourages her to work harder and credited the award to her team.
