Simphiwe Dana has led the voices of Africans by making it clear that there will always be one Mama Africa, the late Miriam Makeba.

This came after Thandie shared a tweep of appreciation for Queen Bey following watch “Black is King” which trended on Twitter.

The tweep created a thread about why Africans should refer to Beyoncé as Mama Africa.

The history of the term is that it was given to legendary musician, activist and philanthropist, Miriam Makeba.

Simphiwe Dana was quick to assert that there will only be one Miriam Makeba.
