Residents of Gauteng defied the lockdown regulations and took to the highway to loot alcohol from a liquor truck.

Alcohol sales were banned again by President Cyril Ramaphosa as the country tries to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

South Africa is on lockdown level 3 and wearing of masks is mandatory.  People could be seen without masks as they flocked to loot beer.

The incident is alleged to have happened in Pretoria. Motorists blocked the highway as they too scrambled to grab packs of free beer.
