Second Wife Of PSL & Orlando Pirates Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza Has Passed On

Premier Soccer League and Orlando Pirates Chairman Irvin Khoza has lost his wife. Matina Elsie Khoza passed on at the age of 69.

She leaves behind three children and the sad news of her passing was announced on Twitter and Facebook by Orlando Pirates. The statement read as follows.

“The Khoza family is announcing the sad passing of Mme Matina Elsie Khoza, the wife of Dr Irvin Khoza, the mother of Sonono, the late Zodwa, Nkosana and Mpumi.”

Matina Khoza who was affectionately referred to as Mama by everybody including her ten grand children has been in and out of hospital in the past few years battling ill health.

She sadly passed on earlier in the morning of 23 July 2020. The family asked the public to observe restrictions imposed on the nation due to Covid-19.

As a result there will be no visitation and press visits to be held. Dr Irvin Khoza lost his first wife earlier this year.
