Media personality Ayanda Thabethe outlined her life journey during one-on-one interview with The Bar magazine.

She said she had a different journey to most people in the industry with two marketing degrees, an undergraduate and an honours degree in Marketing.

Ayanda highlighted that she worked in the medical field at Johnson & Johnson selling medical devices and diagnostics.

Adding, Thabethe said she sold pharmaceutical products then went on to be a brand manager at L’Oréal.

However, she always wanted to be part of the entertainment industry and thus whenever she had free time or during her lunch break, she would go and audition.

Thabethe said from the small roles she had managed to perform during all those lunch breaks, she was approached by Connie Ferguson of Ferguson Films for Season 1 of Rockville.

Her favourite quote is that it takes a long time to become an overnight success. She added that she want to be a greater version of herself, a woman with value in terms of the spaces that she owns.
