Jub-Jub’s Real name is Molemo Maarohanye and he is the son of Jack Maarohanye. He was born on the 29th of June 1980 in Orlando, Soweto in South Africa.

He is a musician and was the first South African to get a scholarship at the popular FAME school La Guardia High School for the Performing Arts in Manhattan, New York. This is where he finished his High School studies.

Jub Jub once dated songstress Kelly Khumalo and the two have a son together named Christian.

On the 8th of March 2010, Jub Jub and his friend Themba Tshabalala caused an accident that killed four school children and left the other two with brain damage.

They were drag racing on a public road near a school. It is also on record that they were driving under the influence of alcohol.

On the 8th of December 2012 Jub Jub and his friend Themba were sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempted murder. They were later released on parole in 2017.
