Upon seeing a tweet by Channel 24 Bonang Matheba immediately shared her frustrations on Twitter.
Channel 24 labelled her a social media butterfly and this was a title she was in no mood to accept.
Bonang Matheba took to Twitter and she said, “Social Media Butterfly?? Imagine”.
People on Twitter stood by her as they understood her frustrations and called on journalists to show some respect.
Channel 24 immediately understood their mistake and removed the post. They also apologised to Bonang and asserted that they have a lot of respect for her.
Bonang said the apology was not enough. People said words like entrepreneur or style icon could have been used instead of social media butterfly.
