South African actress and television presenter, Vinolia Mashego was finally laid to rest in Mamelodi, east of Tshwane on Friday morning.

Vinolia Mashego was found dead at her home in Mamelodi, Pretoria. Mashego reportedly died in her sleep at her home in Mamelodi on Monday.

The veteran actress and former Jam Alley presenter Mashego died at the age of 56. Her father Collin Mashego said Vinolia had asthma problem.

V-Mash as she was popularly known got a send off from a small crowd of family and close friends who took precautions against the coronavirus.

The service was short and despite the crowd being small everyone who entered the yard was sanitised and given a mask.

At her time of death, Vinolia worked as a presenter on prank show Bheka Sikubambile on Moja Love which premiered last month.
