A brazen cash-in-transit heist in Ormonde has left two security company owners dead and one guard seriously injured. The victims have been identified as Shaheed Abdul Hamid Moosa and Hafidh Yusuf Modan. According to reports, the men were escorting a large sum of cash in two vehicles, a bulletproof Toyota Fortuner and an armoured Ford bakkie, when they were ambushed. The attack reportedly began with a high-speed chase from the M1 highway and escalated into a shootout on Crownwood Road.

Suspects, believed to be travelling in luxury vehicles including a Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, opened fire on the convoy. One suspect was killed and another injured during the exchange of gunfire. Authorities have confirmed that no cash was recovered at the scene. Police investigations are ongoing as authorities work to track down the remaining suspects.
