Linda Kachingwe-Sisya has been appointed as FNB’s new Chief Marketing Officer, where she will now steer the bank’s overall marketing, brand, and corporate affairs strategy.

She is is a seasoned marketing and communications executive with over two decades of experience spanning consumer goods and financial services across Africa and international markets. A Chartered Marketer with a strong academic pedigree, she has built her career on driving brand strategy, corporate affairs, and regional growth for major multinationals—from Unilever to Standard Bank and RMB.

  • Experience: Over 20 years across consumer goods and financial services, covering Southern, Eastern, Western Africa, and international markets (UK, US, China, India).

  • FMCG Background: Started at Unilever (Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya) managing brands like OMO across East/Southern Africa.

  • Banking Career: Spent 8+ years at Standard Bank Group in various regional executive roles, then moved to RMB/FNB group in 2018.

  • Portfolio Scope: Has overseen marketing for retail, commercial, corporate/investment banking, wealth, insurance, lending, and digital banking.

  • Education: Holds an MSc in Strategic Management, multiple postgraduate diplomas (GIBS, Emeritus/MIT/Columbia), and is a Chartered Marketer (CIM).

  • 2005 – Starts at Unilever Zimbabwe as Brand Manager.

  • 2008 – Becomes Regional Head of Brand for OMO (East & Southern Africa), based in Nairobi.

  • 2009 – Joins Standard Bank Group as Head of Marketing & Communications (Malawi).

  • 2009–2017 – Rises through Standard Bank to Regional Marketing Head (South & Central Africa) and later Executive Head (West Africa); sits on group Marketing & Comms ExCo.

  • 2018 – Moves to Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) as Executive Head of Marketing for Africa, Coverage & Private Equity.

  • ~2019–2021 – Named Africa Executive Head of Marketing & Communications for FNB and RMB.

  • Nov 2021 – Expands remit to lead marketing & communications for FNB/RMB’s Africa and international businesses (Africa, India, China, UK, US).

  • July 14, 2026 – Appointed Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of FNB.
