Nkosana Makate To Face Off With Vodacom Despite His Win Yesterday
Nkosana Makate, the creator of the please call me service is set to face off again with Vodacom despite his victory at the Supreme Court of Appeal yesterday.
The court ruled that Makate is entitled to receive 5-7% of the total revenue the generated from the invention plus interest, from the period 2001-2019.
Vodacom informed its shareholders that the battle is still ongoing and that it will bring an application for leave to appeal before the Constitutional Court of South Africa within the prescribed period.
