South African sprinter and convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius has petitioned the Constitutional Court to reverse the decision to deny him parole.

Oscar Pistorius believes that he now qualifies for an early release on parole considering the amount of time he has spent behind bars.

Pistorius was denied parole after appearing before the parole board for the his appeal in March this year.

The athlete was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Pistorius shot Reeva on Valentine’s in 2013.

He has so far served half of his sentence thus he appealed for parole. Below is the petition.
