SAD: South African Poet and Praise Singer Nomfusi Potelwa Shot Dead in Execution-style

Popular South African poet and praise singer Nomfusi Potelwa was shot dead in her home in Dutywa on the 8th of August 2023. She was allegedly shot execution-style.

Women for Change shared the details on Twitter, the organisation and the South African music industry are mourning Potelwa’s passing.

Potelwa was a celebrated figure in the Eastern Cape Province and South Africa as a whole. She was well-known for her well choreographed performances that embraced the Xhosa cultural heritage.
