A memorial service was held today for the late Kwaito and Gqom musician Mandla Maphumulo who was famously known by his stage name Mampintsha.
Mampintsha passed away on Saturday the 24th of December 2022. He was in a Durban hospital after suffering a stroke.
His father spoke at the memorial and he told the mourners that he had lost his only son. He said wherever he goes he is respected because Mampintsha dignified him.
He added that he was heartbroken to have lost Mampintsha because he was only sick for a few days before he passed away..

He also said he feels proud to be the father of the late musician. He thanked Mampintsha’s colleagues (Dj Tira, etc) in the industry for helping his son’s career.
