Sunday world reports that three more women are accusing Action SA politician, Abel Tau of rape and sexual exploitation.
This follows a police case opened by the wife of Tau’s employee, who claims that Tau attempted to rape her in his matrimonial bedroom while her drunk husband slept in the guest bedroom.
The new allegations reported by the Sunday World include:
1. A female member of the ActionSA campaign team said she slept with Tau in August 2021 during the local government elections campaign after he told her that she would not get a position in the party if she did not sleep with him. She said he told her he would destroy her political career and dreams.
2. A female DA member told the newspaper that in 2019, Tau tried to force himself on her during his son’s wedding. She said she was shocked and pushed him off.
3. Another female DA member told the newspaper that Tau impregnated her and then told her to abort the pregnancy. She said she aborted the pregnancy as she respected Tau ‘s marriage. He then stopped talking to her and she moved on despite being with Tau as his side chick for years.
The three women are set to testify against Tau when the rape case brought by Tau’s subordinate and his wife goes to trial in 2023.
