Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s Longest-reigning Monarch Laid To Rest

Britain’s Longest-reigning Monarch Queen Elizabeth II was laid to rest yesterday at Windsor Castle next to her late parents and husband.

The new Prime Minister Lizz Truss who was sworn in a day before the Queen’s passing on has resumed her duties as leader of the country.

Politics were put on hold as the nation mourned a monarch who had reigned for 70 years.

The funeral capped days of pageantry and ceremony since since her death on the 8th of September 2022.

The Queen’s passing and funeral drew hundreds of thousands of people onto the streets of London and millions of viewers on television.
