A fifth suspect has been arrested in the Hillary Gardee murder case. The suspect was taken in for questioning on Sunday and was arrested on Tuesday.

The suspect is a Nigerian national in his 30s and he is expected to appear in the Nelspruit Magistrates’ Court today.

He is being charged with evading the ends of justice. The police said more charges will soon be added and more arrests will be made.

The fourth suspect who was arrested in Springs, in Gauteng, last week Thursday is yet to appear in Court.

Hillary Gardee was found dead in a tree plantation outside Nelspruit in April. Police confirmed that she was shot from the back of her head in execution style.

She was the daughter of former Economic Freedom Fighters Secretary General Godrich Gardee. The news was reported by SABC NEWS.
