The Malawian government said it won’t be taking sides in self-proclaimed Prophet, Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary’s, extradition matter.

The government told the media that it would act according to the extradition treaty. It also said the couple’s trial will be a fair one without any witness intimidation.

A few years ago thousands of churchgoers would flock to Bushiri’s Christian Gathering Church in Tshwane.

Now the gates stay closed ever since Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary fled South Africa for their homeland Malawi in 2020.
