Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa has been trending on Twitter after he announced that his ministry was spearheading the erection of a R22 Million Flag at Freedom Park.
Following public outcry the Minister contacted the President, Cyril Ramaphosa to brief him on the citizens’ grievances in relation with the Flag.
The President revealed during a conference that he told the Minister to cancel the project if people are not happy about it.
A lot of people including celebrities have been voicing out against the project.
