Popular socialite, Somizi Mhlongo has revealed that his maffia9to Mohale Motaung was not formally registered.
Speaking on his reality show, Living the dream with Somizi, Mhlongo said they did not sign the marriage certificate during the wedding ceremony because the presiding marriage officer, a pastor, forgot the papers.
Somizi also said Mohale’s family did not approve of the marriage and lobola was paid in cash.
No one from Mohale’s family is willing to come forward with the letter proving that lobola was paid.
The couple are going through a divorce and Mohale must prove that he was Somizi ‘spouse if he plams to get a share of his estate.
A source told the City Press newspaper that Mohale must gather his witnesses and then send an application to the court to prove his marriage. This application will cost no less than R120 000.
