President Cyril Ramaphosa recently sold 72 cows at his Ntabanyoni Cattle farm. The cows included 16 premium Ankole cows.
Businessman Patrice Motsepe paid R4.7 million for four Ankole cows. The cows can adapt to difficult and extreme weather conditions.
Their meat and milk is of high quality and their big horns allows them to regulate their body temperatures accordingly.
The Ankole can survive on less food and water, the breed is found in East African countries of Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and more.
The President imported the breed from East Africa a few years ago.
