Former President Jacob Zuma’s son Duduzane Zuma was elected as branch chairperson of ANC ward eleven in Newlands, Durban. Zuma has ambitions of becoming the next President of South Africa.
Duduzane Zuma has hit the ground running as he tries to prove himself to his supporters. Zuma was seen cleaning a neighborhood in Newlands East.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Zuma was sweeping the streets, cutting grass, unblocking drainages and pushing wheelbarrows full of dirty.
While some commended him saying he was leading by example, critics said it is a publicity stunt to gunner votes in future.
Zuma told the media that he is trying to inspire young persons to keep their backyards and the environment clean. As chairperson Zuma has the opportunity to engage and be part of important discussions in the ANC.
After winning the election former President Jacob Zuma congratulated his son saying winning the position as branch chairperson was important as it comes with the responsibility to lead.
