Former Mamelodi Sundowns player, Hlompho Kekana has revealed that he recently had an appendix surgery.

Speaking to Soccerladuma, Kekana said he was out running, one morning, when he felt a sudden sharp pain on his right side.

Kekana said when he went to the hospital, doctors gave him two options – either he would have to come to the hospital regularly for anti-biotics or he would be operated on.

Kekana said he was not ready to be a regular visitor and decided to go for the surgery.

Kekana said he is now just waiting for the stitches to be removed after the operation was successful.
