Carl Niehaus a suspended ANC member has called on South Africans to reject the incarceration of former President Jacob Zuma. Zuma was released from jail on medical parole after he fell sick.

Niehaus was responding to a decision made by the Pretoria High Court ruling ordering the former President to be jailed. Last week the Court found the decision to put Zuma on medical parole invalid.

The Court pronounced the decision as unconstitutional and then ordered Jacob Zuma to be sent to jail so that he finishes the remainder of his 15 months jail term.

The former spokesman described the Court ruling as injustice saying Zuma had been arrested without a charge before. In July there was unrest in South Africa following Zuma’s arrest.
